12/06/24 I LOVE FISHING FOR MEN

12/06/24 I LOVE FISHING FOR MEN

Sooo, at 10 Thursday morning, Spectrum sent a text saying there would be no internet for several hours. Within minutes, our electric power went out, which we mistakenly thought was related to the Spectrum outage since they are often mutually affected. OK, it looked like it would be afternoon before we would be back in business.

We occupied ourselves. After all, it was a beautiful day. Afternoon came, and still no power. At 3 p.m., we asked Lydia and Wade if they had power at their homes. THEY DID. We still did not have power

It wasn't long before the Duke Power lineman showed up. He replaced the fuse to the transformer quickly and said we should have power. We did not. It turned out that the transformer was bad. About 4:15, he called for a transformer to be brought out.

I spent some time telling him how people like I myself need and appreciate people with his knowledge and skills. I also told him that I have knowledge about a power connection everyone needs. Everyone needs a connection with God, and Jesus is that connection. Jesus actually transforms us into people with the power of God to live the kind of life that is pleasing to God.

I shared some more truth and encouraged him to seek Jesus since we all need to be transformed by Divine power. I invited him to get in touch with me for more conversation. I also told him that Martha and I would be glad to come to Hubert to visit he and his wife to talk about a relationship with Jesus and answer questions they may have.

Well, about 5:15, the other truck arrived with the transformer, and in 30 minutes, we had lights, heat, entertainment, and water, and I had been given the opportunity to witness for Christ.

It is a photo from my front porch of the power crew finishing up on a job well done. Pray with me that my witnessing is fruitful.
