11/02/24 MY WONDERFUL WIFE

11/02/24 MY WONDERFUL WIFE

My wife...
She always takes care of me. It isn't only her constant, loving, selfless care and comfort during my times of sickness, weakness, and suffering. She provides the really important needs of a home. I know this will sound trite, but it is essential and requires her time, energy, labor, and sacrifice, even when she is not well or when she is exhausted, and when we are dealing with heavy issues in life.

She keeps my house clean and orderly... all the time. I am so grateful that I don't have to live in disarray and nastiness. In fact, she keeps it spotless, daily, consistently, without complaining or negativity. This is good for my health (physically, mentally, relationally) and in regards to our ministry to other people. I am so glad my children grew up in the kind of home she provided. I am spoiled with a healthy environment. And, she adorns the house regularly and seasonally. Our home is clean, efficient, pleasant, and welcoming.
She provides healthy, tasty meals consistently. She cares about my needs and preferences, and she accommodates my schedule.
She watches out for our income.
She loves our children, their spouses, and our grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She loves our ministry and our church folks.
She takes care of the major issues and the minor ones.
I could go on and on.
I am so thankful she married me.

When I walked through the kitchen this morning and saw the pumpkin decoration, I was reminded again about how blessed I am.

Along with the big issues of life, little things mean a lot.
