10/07/24 WHO WILL TAKE A STAND

Once upon a time (in the 1980s) there was a little storefront church on "The Beach," and then it moved to Morehead. It often led the way in response to societal and community attacks against Christians, family values, Biblical truth, moral uprightness in local businesses, early "woke" agenda in the public school. It even provided quality Christian education at $10 a month (eventually no charge at all).

I understand that the Seafood Festival no longer allows Gospel music as part of their activities.

I don't live in Morehead now, so if this is accurate, which church will lead the way against your city's attack on Christianity in your city?

You won't be popular, I know that I wasn't, in fact, someone threatened to blow my head off because of the things I would say on my local cable TV program, concerning the anti-Christian issues in the local public schools.

Even so, we did make a difference, and we were joined by one of the leading pastors in Morehead at the time, concerning the school's muting the Christian message of Christmas.

If I am misinformed about the Festival, I am glad. If it is true, then who will fill the gap in the name of Jesus.

And I can hear it now, like I did in the eighties, "just when you think it is safe... (pastor) David L. Gould is back."
