04/10/24 THE MIRACLE OF PHYSICAL RESTORATION

I am recovering from a rough 16 months. Because of a major health issue, I was in really bad condition, but praise the Lord, and loving care from Martha, I have been gaining ground.

I was weak beyond belief. There was a time I could only walk a few steps, and then I could only do free hand movements, and then I could only do very light weights (not bench pressing or some other movements), then very light weights (such as 65# for bench recovery).

But God has been touching me. I recently set a bench goal of 150# for my birthday (3/31), but I reached it a week ahead of schedule. I also set a goal, to bench 175# by June 7 or by end of June at latest. If I reach that goal, I will be trying to return to a 200# bench by end of year. I included a photo of my barbell loaded for the 175# and hope I can put a photo of 200# by early June. I doubt I will ever do better than my 255# (1.45 times my body weight at the time), but I will give it my best, whenever I can. Sometimes I am not able to do what I want to do, but Praise the Lord, He is blessing me abundantly.

It is not just an accomplishment. It is a miracle that I even made it out of the hospital, where I received very great care and encouragement. Praise the Name of Jesus. For me to live is Christ and to die is gain. I want to live to the fullest for Him, as long as I am here.
