UnBiblical actions, reactions and choices have bad consequences.
Continuing with unBiblical actions, reactions and choices extends the same bad consequences, or it results in more extreme bad consequences.
The same wrong actions, reactions and the same choices will change your future into a worse reality.
Breaking the chain is a cooperative venture with God through obedient faith.
This requires humbly and actively believing the truth, acknowledging personal failure, AND submitting to God's rule, leading, cleansing, empowering.
Pride does not accept reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness.
Pride does not accept or submit to godly counsel or Divine rule.
This is why pride leads to moral and spiritual defeat, destruction and death.
Humility leads to faith confession, repentance, forgiveness, newness of life.
Newness of life is a choice.
Newness of life replaces corruption, decay, stagnation, death.
Newness of life is no accident and it is not an independent, human accomplishment; it is the gift of God, received by faith.
Newness of life is a journey, including a beginning, a consistent walk and an ultimate destination.
Newness of life is an instantaneous, Divine transformation and it is continuing, constant and consistent faith relationship with Christ.
We choose life or we choose death.
We choose the fruit of the Spirit or we choose the works of the flesh.
We choose obedience, righteousness and submission or we choose disobedience, sin, rebellion.
We choose God's way or we choose our own way, Satan's way, the world's way, the carnal way.
Presumption never saved anyone.
We are saved by grace, through faith, as a living reality.
Acts 20:22-24
22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
2 Timothy 4:5-8
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
