10/29/24 BEWARE THE BLASPHEMER

10/29/24 BEWARE THE BLASPHEMER

I say the following because I KNOW this is happening today, throughout the church, including our own communities. DON'T MISS THIS TRUTH.

You can't always, "tell the book by its cover," and you can't always tell someone's nature by their title or their name. Some folks call themselves by the name of Christ, yet they bear His Name in vain. True relationship is more than sharing a name.

Sometimes, our Virtual presence gets hacked by wicked or disturbed people. It can be inconvenient, or it can cause ACTUAL destruction (to your computer, your image, your relationships, your finances, your freedom, your testimony), although you had nothing to do with it.

Sometimes, our ACTUAL presence gets hacked by wicked, lying, hateful, angry people. It is more than inconvenient, it causes ACTUAL destruction (to you, your image, your relationships, your finances, your freedom, your testimony), although you had nothing to do with it and you do not deserve the venomous attack.

Sometimes, the destroyer seems to be sweet, honest, loving, kind, and compassionate. They get this from their spiritual father since they are a child of darkness and their father is the father of lies. Remember, the father of lies, the prince of darkness, the god of this world is also called "an angel of light."

It is bad enough that sin-sick people slander, liable, defame, verbally attack and ruin other people's lives, but when false witnesses attack (blaspheme) Christians they are attacking God, His children, His truth, His salvation), and their blasphemy and evil behavior poisons the minds of the innocent people, resulting in rejection of God's messengers and His message. This is Satan at work.

Sadly, people who call themselves "Christian," listen to those false witnesses and begin to view the innocent victim of blasphemy through a distorted lens.

Not only do individuals (Christian or otherwise) listen to the lies, they also become talebearers and accusers of God's children. Sometimes pastors open their arms and readily receive divisive, slanderous, blasphemous church-hoppers into their fellowship and ministry without contacting previous pastors or churches to discover the hidden background of disgruntled, self centered and vengeful people.

The blasphemous lies spread through the community like filth from a broken sewage system. The blasphemed person and his family and his church family are maliciously defamed, the ministry and message of Christ is misrepresented, the new church fellowship of the blasphemer is corrupted and sometimes destroyed, ruining individuals, families and the integrity of that church.

This is why churches formerly required new people who sought membership in a church body to provide a "letter of transfer" from their previous church family. It would help verify the credibility, sincerity, integrity, stability and veracity of the newcomer. Though a letter of transfer is related to, "membership" status, in our present day it would be prudent for pastors in today's broken society to require a similar inquiry into the background of other professed believers who start attending their services regularly.

Don't be fooled. The worst of the worst are the ones who will slip into your church and destroy your life, your family, your fellowship, or, you will be one of the folks they fool and draw into their wake of destructive work.

It is disturbing to meet people in the community who speak to you as if you have treated folks in an un-Christian and un-Biblical way, and to be accused of evil (though baseless) actions, which undermine your actual life and relationship with others, including God.

I can't urge people enough to seek the reason for someone's personal attacks or accusations against someone else. Sometimes, the attack against someone else is for the purpose of shifting attention from their own personal corruption.

2 Timothy 4:14-15 KJV
14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
