10/05/24 WE ARE CALLED TO ACTION
"Greatness" (in the common sense of the word) is not attained because of the natural abilities we are given, but is attained when we give WHATEVER abilities, talents, skills we have, to benefit others. This is true in the natural realm and in the spiritual realm.
The old saying is, "Success is no accident." It can also be said that true greatness is no accident.
For Christians, our greatness is not in ourselves, but in Christ. But that greatness is only manifested in society through selfless, obedient faith.
A popular saying is, "Carpe Diem" (seize the day). Christians should follow Caleb's example when he was 85 years old. Israel was being faced by their powerful enemy upon their return to God's promised land, and Caleb said, "Give me this mountain."
This should be the cry of every believer as we face the gates hell. Age is not the issue, but the sooner a Christian becomes a spiritual warrior for Christ, the more effective their life will be in reaching others and helping other. Also, the stronger they will become.
Remember, young Samuel heard God calling, and after talking to his spiritual mentor (Eli) he answered by saying, Speak Lord, for your servants hears."
Remember too, while the man (Isaiah) was in worship, God called him to service and he answered, "Here am I, send me."
There is a Christian athletic organization called, Athletes In Action.
Every local congregation should be a Church In Action.
Every young Christian should be a Youth In Action.
This Action should be manifested in local church service, community needs, regional outreach and disasters, and worldwide proclamation, using the internet.
Don't wait. Now is the day.
