08/30/24 THE SCOPE OF LOVE

Remember, the Bible tells us that pure, sacrificial, self denying, obedient, perfect love is the foundation, goal and proof of a right relationship with God through faith in Christ. There is a hierarchy of love. 

A Checklist Of Love's Scope
* Love God with all of your being and life.
* Love yourself in the light of God's word and in line with a perfect love for God. This can only happen in the life of a truly converted, saved, born again, redeemed, washed in the blood of the Lamb, believer and follower of Christ. (Remember, we are told to love our neighbor as we love ourselves).
* Love your fellow believers.
* Love your neighbor.
* Love your enemy. 

God saves and entirely sanctifies His children so that we can, and so that we will love others (from God to our enemies). Love is a miracle work of God in us. Some personality types are more "loving," but God conforms all believers to the image of His Son, Who loved us and gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto Himself a distinctive people, zealous of good works. 

When a believer senses his love quotient and quality are lacking in any area, he/she must immediately repent and seek God's forgiveness and fullness. We must not love in word only, we must love in deed and in truth.
