3/14/24 GOD LEADS THOSE WHO FOLLOW
Just because a person says, "God led me," it does not mean that God actually led them.
If a person is not following the directives of God in their personal daily life, neither are they following God in the larger, public areas of their lives or ministries.
Following personal desires, peer pressure, false teachers, ease of life, praise of men are often mislabeled as, "God's leading."
Too often when people leave churches, claiming it is, "God's leading," they are actually leaving because they do not want to be confronted with Biblical truth, they are not willing to submit to Biblical authority, they do not like being an humble and submissive part of the body, they think too highly of themselves and seek their own glory rather than God's glory.
The comedian Flip Wilson would say, "the devil made me do it," when in reality it was a selfish choice to do something wrong. In that case, the devil got blamed for something that was the fault of human wickedness. This happens with people today.
Another way that people excuse their wayward thinking and doing is to say, "God led me." God gets blamed for human wickedness. But God is not fooled. God knows the truth and God will judge according to truth and righteousness.
Folks need to quit blaming or "crediting" other folks for their own wrong decisions. Do right, and if you do wrong, then do that which is right, "fess up," repent and truly follow God.
